思考題昨天句子的背景：

曾經學術成果只通過書信、演講和書籍在小圈子里交流，新知識的傳播效率很低，無法形成規模效應。17世紀論文的出現讓科學家能迅速地了解同仁的發現，繼而通過復制實驗和學術討論相互啟發。論文讓研究者清晰地看到新理論的發展歷程。可是今天，論文這種交流形式已日薄西山，無法跟上日新月異的學術研究。當下科學方法刷新的速率已經與軟件并肩，研究主題愈加高深，幾乎所有的重量級成果都依賴于編程技術和動態軟件。平板、二維的pdf論文無力反映動態多維的研究過程，以至越來越多的論文因晦澀難解而無法得到驗證，無法完成學術互進的使命。所以一些頗有成就的科學家放棄學術之路，研發出一種叫做“數學筆記本”的論文書寫軟件。“數學筆記本”通過互制圖等手段，讓學者直觀地看到數據生成成果的動態過程。就像萊布尼茨記號開創了一個微積分的新紀元一樣，這些軟件開發者相信，他們打造的體系會成為新型論文書寫的基礎，促進科學的發展和交流。

(實話說，這篇文章的還有很多內容超出了我的知識儲備，我只能意會到這個地步。所以昨天的中文讀不懂，是很正常的事情。不是英語不好，不是翻譯不好，是吃了不懂科學的虧。)

但是我們來看看昨天的思考題答案：

What is the basic task of the scientific paper according to the text?

答案就在冒號后，我們需要知道冒號就是起到解釋作用;

to report what you’ve actually discovered, clearly enough that someone else can discover it for themselves.

這個部分的翻譯真的很難懂，因為專業性比較強。

但是考研閱讀不會深入到專業層面;

真題選項會寫成這樣：

(A)To report their discovery truthfully and clearly.

我相信大家即使不知道這句話是什么意思，但是也能找出A選項時正確的了。“知道答案在那里有的時候比知道答案是什么還重要!”

另外：

Failure這個詞常常翻譯為否定詞：沒有，未能

a failure of Kevin to perform his daily task: to take care of Aman and JPP.

( 凱文沒有能完成他的日常任務：照顧好一男和蔣胖胖。)

只要你知道定語從句表示因果你就知道答案在哪里。
